This is shameless self-insert about what would happen if I, a Woman of a Certain Age, shifted into the Potterverse. Full explanation in first chapter. There is absolutely no redeeming value in this fic. Also, fair warning: I think I'm fucking hilarious. Not interested in concrit for this one. Definitely not interested in foolishness. The first time he truly noticed his appearance, he was three. A grand mirror in the Malfoy estate had revealed a boy with golden curls, light catching in the strands like woven sunlight. His skin was kissed by warmth, unlike the porcelain pallor of Lucius and Narcissa.
And his eyes—his eyes were the most striking of all, a silver-blue so luminous they seemed to glow, like the reflection of moonlight on water. He looked nothing like his parents, and for some reason, it unnerved him.
Because he didn’t just remember fragments of the story. He remembered pieces of the role Draco Malfoy had played.
A boy indulged by his parents. A boy who wore his family name like a badge of pride. A boy who, despite everything, had become something he didn’t want to be.
And he wasn't him.
