“We’ll have to wait till morning to talk to Von Bergow,” Hans said, dismounting, “join me in my chambers for wine?”
Henry smiled. He knew Hans was important to him — had known for a while. He was his lord — more importantly, his best friend. But seeing him almost hang, knowing he was this close to losing him… Henry couldn’t bear the thought. It made him more desperate to let Hans know he cares. That he’d do anything he could if it would improve his life. Even just a bit.
So there was no answer for Henry other than—
“There is nothing I’d rather do right now.”

If you burn Semine (unwillingly, as it was for me), Hans tells Henry he wants to get drunk and forget all about it. This is that conversation.

Hynce first found out about Henry when he was eight years old.
He didn’t mean to pry into Father’s private belongings, but while browsing the contents of the bookshelves he came across a prettily painted wooden box and, well, he couldn’t not open it.

With the war on hold, the Devil's Pack is recalled to Rattay for a celebration — a union between the Lords of Poděbrad and Lipá, rendered through the marriage of one Hans Capon to Jitka of Kunštát. And while Henry and Hans struggle with the aftermath of Suchdol, war waits for no one.

Summary
There was only one Silver Skalitz in Bohemia, and it had already burned to the ground.
It stood to reason that there was only one Henry of Skalitz in the world, too.
No more painful feeling exists than realizing you're in love with a dead man. (Even if you still don't know this particular agony is called love.)
Or: while Hans Capon languishes at Maleshov Fortress, he denies the truth--that Henry was captured, tortured, and killed by Istvan Toth--to himself for as long as he can, until it becomes inescapable.
