Summary
18 year old Tony Stark is your typical teenager. Well, except for how he’s the playboy billionaire heir to Stark Industries and working on two PhDs. Oh, and 6 months ago he was kidnapped by - well, no one really knows who. Since his rescue (excuse you, Tony liberated himself), he’s also been keeping a pretty big secret. Here’s a hint: it’s shiny, red and gold, and flies. Tony’s had a productive couple of months, but the fact that his grandfather keeps trying to hire bodyguards for his “safety” is really putting a cramp in his ability to keep his secret superhero identity, well, a secret.
Steve Rogers wakes up in 2015 and finds out that he’s missed 70 years (Oh god, does this mean he’s 94?), a revelation that he handles with much less grace than usual. Mostly, Steve just wants to be Captain America again, but on his own terms and without a lot of fanfare. To fill the time while Steve tries to figure out the best way to resurrect a dead superhero, his good friend Isaac Stark offers him a job: bodyguard to Isaac’s grandson, Tony Stark - who seems to get into a surprising amount of trouble for a teenager. “There’s no better introduction to the 21st century than through Tony,” says Isaac. Somehow, Steve is not reassured.

Summary
When Tony meets Sergeant James Barnes, he knows his life will never be the same again. Falling in love is dangerous while in the middle of a war, especially when society refuses to accept love between two men, but they're helplessly drawn to each other. Every second they share is precious beyond words, even more so because Tony knows that Bucky might not return to him one day. Tony isn't sure if he'll survive losing Bucky.
When Bucky falls, Tony feels like he dies with him. What point is there to keep on living when Bucky isn't there? But, despite the loss and grief, Tony does survive. He's not sure why he soldiers on, year after year, considering how pointless it feels. He knows he'll never get to see Bucky again.
Until one day, seventy years into the future, he does.

Summary
Tony Stark has been writing messages to his soulmate on his left arm for years, with no reply; clearly his soulmate wants nothing to do with him, so he stops. Meeting one of Rhodey's fellow AFROTC cadets, who just so happens to be an amputee, makes it clear that Tony, for a genius, is really very stupid.

Summary
'You're Captain America,' Clint tells him. 'Saving children is definitely your job.'
'This may surprise you, but I didn't actually run into many kids in need of saving in the middle of Hydra bases,' Steve hisses at him.
'Just be you,' Natasha tells him. 'Kids like you.'
'Kids like Hawkeye,' Steve objects.
'Kids like to laugh at me when I juggle knives or shoot things like a badass,' Clint grins at him. 'They think you'll keep them safe.'
Steve does not feel trained for this.
After breaking into, and destroying, an AIM base, the Avengers find a little boy.

Summary
Tony Stark had a fickle memory. He also was a genius, a sponge for information and fascinating theories. The Avengers had never really bothered about it much. It was just how Tony was.
But when Tony is kidnapped by a Hydra facility and returns home after four months, they are starting to wish that Tony didn't have a fickle memory. Because you can remind someone who had forgotten, but you cannot remind someone who remembers things differently.
Rated Explicit for non-romantic reasons. Trigger warnings included.
