But when people don’t seem to get that very simple fact and when his life is falling apart around him – well, moving to America with those lovesick idiots and training in a place where he has relative anonymity… really, it’s a perfectly reasonable response. Honestly, all he wants at this point is to be left alone.
Jay Feldman is completely, mundanely human. It doesn’t matter how hard he works, how determined he is or how much he wants it – there are just some things that you have to be born lucky for, apparently. At the end of the day, Jay just isn’t destined to be special. All he wants at this point is to learn to accept that.
