After arriving in DC, she decided she could not forgive Tony for killing Rivkin, demanding Gibbs transfer him off the team. When her ultimatum failed to achieve her desired outcome, despite Gibbs owing her his life for killing Ari, her reaction had devastating consequences for all the team.

He knew very well Remus had never been well off, so the fact that he had actually spent what little money he had to buy him something hurt him deeper than he could say. A small part of him had always resented Remus for not being there for him growing up, and now he got to learn the only reason he hadn’t been there was because Dumbledore had blocked him relieved some pain, but just created more since he couldn’t even talk to Remus about it."
