The start was closer to a mosaic than a tapestry, full of glassy speckles of greys and golds. She admired each burst of colour as her gaze combed along the fabric to the first clear image. The scene was enwreathed in storm clouds, erratic and pained. They circled around the two focus’s of the spectacle—A woman, slick with ichor, climbing out of a man’s skull—
Oh. That was her.

Athena has survived a lot. Her fathers head for one, his lightning too—But rejection from a single mortal proves to be her undoing. How pathetic an end for a goddess like her.
Or it would be, if the fates hadn't decided to throw her a bone.

Summary
Gods were not meant to die. They were manifestations of concepts, they weren’t meant to pass on unless the idea they were made from became obsolete, and even then they simply went dormant. Though, Gods also weren’t supposed to debase themselves for the lives of mortals, so perhaps it was only fitting that one impossibility followed another.
And perhaps it only made sense that the Gods wouldn’t accept their newfound mortality.

In a haze of regret and grief, Zeus becomes frantic and desperate to fix his mistake. He enlists his brother Hades and Prometheus to help revive Athena, but their solution is crude. They aren’t powerful enough to bring her back unchanged, and to keep things like her immortality intact, other things need to be sacrificed. Most noticeable of which, was her age. Perhaps though, this is an opportunity to make things better then they ever were.

Wednesday, contrary to popular belief, did have fears. One of her elusive fears was in fact a fear of the dark; the idea of something hiding just out of sight was terrifying to her, but someone finding out about this fear of hers was even more scary.
So when Enid came across Wednesday crying in the woods after being attacked, it was safe to say that she was petrified.
