“I see, and is she a formidable gatekeeper?” Kate could not help but ask, recalling the way Anthony had referred to her during his pursuit of Edwina.
“Even more so that you were to Edwina I should imagine.”
“Then I shall quiver at her mercy,” Kate replied, grinning at the image of tiny Hyacinth Bridgerton guarding a tower with Anthony leaning out of the window as if a damsel.
