But he can't stop looking. Can't stop watching Thanos, can't stop watching the lines of his throat flex when he's talking, even when he's sat across the room. Something in his chest wants, in his darkest moments, when he's high on whatever shit he's selling that night. It makes him angry; makes him worse at his job. He spends half his shifts waiting for Thanos to turn up; the other half irritable, hoping he doesn't. He doesn't know what to do.

Nam-gyu hardly realizes what he's going to say before he says it, thoughtlessly falling out of his mouth, "I have room."
...Which he doesn't, really. Why would he say that?
But it's— Thanos goes still and he just sorta stares at him and Nam-gyu's mind is flitting to fall half on his cross necklace and half on that he just looked so— so fucking bleak when he said that, so final.
OR: the games end after mingle. thanos and nam-gyu cope with this in spectacular fashion (and maybe learn to live somewhere in there, too).
