In all fairness, she had no shortage of other matters taking up her attention. A curse to break. A deal to fulfill. A witch, a wizard’s apprentice, and a dog to look after. A missing wizard, who she was rather inconveniently in love with, to fret over. A new business, albeit one without many customers, to run. And, of course, a king, his army, and his ruthless sorceress to elude.
It was quite a lot to manage all on her own.
So who could say how many bud vases, with only a single bloom to fill them, Sophie had missed?
