In this fic, Jaden attends Duel Academy with a deck unlike the one in canon. Jaden dreams not to be the King of Games, but a young man worthy to wield the Gentle Darkness. So he seeks to make friends, duel well, and go far…even if he has to grapple with his easily jealous Duel Spirit Girlfriend.
Featuring a new deck, a slightly altered canon as time goes on, and something I feel Yu-Gi-Oh fics are sorely lacking: a story with ACTUAL DUELS in it! Including a few fanmade cards ;)
tw: This fic uses dub names. Also, for the sake of this fic, Yubel was a child when she was turned into a Duel Spirit and became sentient when she reunited with Jaden. They have essentially grown up together from that point, to mitigate any worries about an age gap as much as possible.

Or, merlin resets time to the day he enters Camelot and meets Arthur and looses his memories, but everyone and I mean EVERYONE remembers the past timeline
Or, the time travel fix it trope but merlin is the only one who doesn’t know about the past lifetime.
