Severus hasn’t had the need to christmas shop for quite literally anyone since attending as a student in Hogwarts and yet he had found himself wandering down Hogsmeade in search for the perfect gift. The receiver being the one and only Harry Potter. He had taken in the ten year old as of recently due to the uncovering of the abuse he had endured with the Dursleys. Thus Severus was on a mission to provide Harry with the best first real christmas he could ever possibly have.

He threw himself down, starting to gather the broken pieces with his bare hands, not taking notice of his hands and fingers getting cut in the process. He was quietly, but desperately saying “I’m sorry, so sorry, I’ll fix it, please I’m sorry.” while tears flooded down his cheeks.
He almost screamed when arms were put around him, hands stopping him from picking up more pieces, drawing him into a lap. He could barely hear the voice speaking to him, in a low and gentle tone.
His heartrate was too loud in his ears, deafening any other sound.“Hush, child, it is of no matter, breathe.”
