Avatar the Last Airbender Book 1
Mayumi was practically Aang's older sister. So, when the boy came to her while she she was visiting from the fire nation she tried to calm him down. The scared Avatar was panicking over them trying to send him away. And he wanted her to run away with him. The sixteen year old immediately agreed.
The two realized it probably wasn't the best idea when they got caught up in a storm with Appa. Then it all went black.
