“Tonight, we’re going to play a little game,” Eliot said, revealing a small box wrapped in red and gold paper seemingly out of thin air. He opened the top to reveal a few sprigs of what appeared to be fresh mistletoe, tied together with twine. He lifted it up into the air and let go, watching it hover.
“Rules are simple. Because traditional mistletoe is creepy and consent is important, some alumni across multiple disciplines enchanted this to only appear above groups of two where a mutual attraction exists. They’ve generously passed it down to us for our holiday party each year. So talk to someone new, keep your eyes out for mistletoe, kiss to your heart’s content, and experience the newfound knowledge that you might just like someone here who likes you back. Have fun, kids.”
Then, the tall upperclassman snapped his fingers and the mistletoe disappeared into thin air. He looked back across the room at Quentin, who was practically quaking in his boots. “Enjoy, Coldwater,” Eliot purred quietly, then he turned on his heel and went back to the bar.

Death threats are an unfortunate side-effect of being Tony Stark, so he's learned to ignore them. The problem is, when someone really wants you dead, hiding your head in the sand just kinda exposes your ass.
But it's not just Tony's behind on the line. Whoever wants him dead wants him to suffer first, and they're willing to do anything to make that happen. Tony knows there's only one way out. To save Steve, the Avengers, and the general public, Tony has to die. Of course, death isn't always the end, and Tony does what any other self-disrespecting scientist would do: he finds a way to fake his death and avenge his own murder.
The trouble is, terrible decisions usually have a terrible price, and this one is no different. Tony has a chance to save the day, but the cost may be more than Tony was ever expecting to pay…

Tony knows Cap doesn't like him. It's a pity, cuz the guy's smoking, but contrary to popular belief Tony is actually familiar with concepts like self-control and not-getting-what-you-want.
Johnny Storm's a great option to work up a little sweat at the dull fundraiser Pepper insisted he go to, and it's heaps of fun up until Clint accidentally convinces the she-devil in reporter form that Johnny and Tony are engaged. And because both Tony and Johnny are morons who take 'challenge accepted' as a life philosophy, they go along with it.
It's cool, though. It's funny enough to be entertaining, and Storm's hot enough that it's no hardship carrying on with him. Eventually the media will find another scandal, and in the meantime, Tony's got sex on tap.
Storm's resemblance to Cap is absolutely a non-factor. Has no bearing on anything. Nope. -
