Summary

Summary
Dave doesn't die. It changes things. Instead of transporting himself forward in time again, Klaus stays. Five teleports the other siblings back in time, aiming for 2002, when they were thirteen, but they end up in the unfamiliar jungles of - the Vietnam War?
A fic where Klaus stays, the rest of the Umbrella Academy goes back to the Vietnam War, and everyone is surprised at how capable Klaus is and that he actually formed a relationship with someone.
The title is from Jeremy Messersmith's song 'Lazy Bones'

She is eight years old, and the rest of the world tells her that it is a foregone conclusion. Not something she gets a say in. Svetlana will fall in love, she will find a handsome boy to make her husband, and she will give him children.
The suggestion makes her so angry that she stomps her foot and bars and mention of love from their house. Her papa agrees. He can never say no to her.

Shane leans into him. “Can I tell you a secret?” Shane wobbles as he asks and catches himself by winding an arm around Ilya’s waist.
“Of course.” Trust is the foundation of their relationship. They’ve always kept each other’s secrets. They just have far fewer of them now. “Is what husbands are for, I think.”
“This is a hockey secret,” Shane says, nonsensically.
A hockey secret?
“Maybe you did not hear,” Ilya says it like he’s sharing a secret of his own, “but I just won the Stanley Cup without any top secret Hollander hockey moves.”
Shane smacks his shoulder and leaves his hand on Ilya’s chest. “We did that to-geth-er.” The words come out of Shane’s mouth strangely musically.
