“Stede, Mr..” Lucius waits for Ed to complete his sentence,
“Teach. Edward. Ed.” Lucius’ smile turns into a smirk.
“Mr Teach, Edward, Ed, is here for a consultation.”
The blond’s eyes shine in delight. He claps his hands once, grin so wide Ed thinks it would probably have looked demented on anyone else, but on him, it just looks…awfully cute.
“Really?” He asks, beaming. “Fab!”
Ed can feel himself nod, agreeing with whatever because, really, why would he not jump at the chance to make that man insanely happy?
Lucius, once again catching his attention, saves him from having to say anything. “Ed is in desperate need of a new mattress, and I'm afraid he was very insistent on wanting only you to help him choose the right one.”or: Very sleep-deprived Edward Teach meets mattress-store owner Stede Bonnet and gets to spend the night.

Dear Ed,
I miss you.
Simple words, these ones. And yet I've never known any as heavy, laden as they are, with truth, and guilt. They stay within me, at all times. I feel them in my broken bones, in my seizing muscles, in my aching heart. They torment me, and refuse to be ignored.
Stede wanted to return to Ed. He got in his dinghy, full of love and full of hope. But sometimes, things don't go as planned.

Enter Stede Bonnet—recently divorced & out of the closet—who is following his dream of opening a nightclub. Along with his motley crew, his small but mighty queer venue has garnered a fast reputation for its creative theme nights.

Two very lonely, grouchy assholes correspond by informal mail. Would they be less grouchy together? Probably. Will they figure that out? Maybe?
Look this is as UNSERIOUS as it gets - please do not take any of this seriously in any way. One should never harass one's neighbor through the town clerk. Or otherwise :)
Almost all of this was a languishing old WIP until I saw this drop-dead piece of art by @citrussyndicate of Ed lounging in the nude. Many, many blessings upon @CitrusSyndicate for this Ed. I finally knew how to end this endless thing!

There’s a bug buzzing through Stede’s body. Sometimes it’s silent, and sometimes it’s so loud it hurts. It gets stronger and stronger the more Stede ignores it. It gets quiet when he cries. It's a weird thing, this bug. It changes so much, but never seems to leave.

Trouble pulling his stetson, loose around his ears like it wasn’t quite fit to him, from his head, down to his chest. Trouble tilting his head to Ed, like Ed was a fine lady, like Ed was anything but a ranch hand perched on a borrowed horse. Trouble asking, soft and sturdy as fresh wheat bread, 'how do you do'?"This is about a lot of things but this is primarily about how one man can hear one Orville Peck song and turn it into 46k words with absolutely no restraint.
