They were twelve seconds late on the dish. Nothing to be alarmed of. Yet.
“Look at me. Chef, look," Seungcheol said, "Do you have this handled?”
“I do," something in the way Jeonghan said it made him pause.
“Jeonghan,” Seungcheol's voice tipped up like a question, confused.
Jeonghan looked up then, met his eyes over two rows of work stations. There was sweat dripping down the side of his face.
“I can’t, I quit.”

Summary
Seungcheol comes back to Jeonghan every December and rewires his brain on a more than chemical level. Plugs him back to life, rearranges his worldview, reassembles his tired soul.
He also leaves him every year, unknowingly stealing a bigger piece of Jeonghan's heart each time, forgetting to pick up the fragments of his own presence from their tarnished hometown.
But if it's okay with Seungcheol, it's okay with Jeonghan too. It has to be.

Summary
Jeonghan is twelve when he first realises that he isn't into women. The discovery makes him retreat into himself, isolate himself from the rest of his classmates.

Seungcheol suspects it has something to do with the murders. It must have, for if not, why would they have started at the exact same time? The first victim’s file was thrown upon his desk four months ago, and he got his first nightmare that very same night. If he had any ounce of sanity left, then his nightmares would simply be a mental image of all these victims, his guilt taking place so far in his mind that even in sleep, he can’t escape it. It must be.
“Earth to Seungcheol.” Seungkwan waves a hand in his face and the elder sobers up with a small shake of his head. Right. They’re just in the forest, inspecting yet another victim’s rotting body. A regular Tuesday.
Or; Seungcheol is trying to solve murders happening around the country, all while also having nightmares about a strange man. How is this strange man related to the murders, and how will he help Seungcheol uncover the culprit?
