    This is one of my favorite Batfam fics definitely, the last chapter was written so beautifully that I couldn't choose to copy and paste here something for my bookmarks because then I would post like half a chapter worth of quotes I liked

    Reference for future me: this was so good it legit had me shaking at one point, also Tim is a little bit insane (/affectionate) and I love that, the aftermath was everything, most fics fall flat in the resolution but in this case it was so satisfying and kept escalating in the right ways to tug on my heart strings but without being condescending or pitying towards Tim, just normal Tim appreciation, he has flaws and gets mad and I love him as much the batfam does, how can you not love the little creep?

    Edit: note to self, if you ever get good at drawing gore please please please draw some scenes from this, maybe one of the impaling like you imagined it: with one of those red construction beams
    Or if it's not gore then Jason confronting Tim about his deaths and how he does lie to himself about them

    Unluckily for them, the parent this child cries for is a 6'6 foot tall man that half of Gotham thinks is actually a cryptid, and around the years, the stories of what happens when someone hurts the little birds enough for them to cry for help have become real life horror tells.
    Because the Bat loves his little birds, and whoever dares hurt them shall not be forgiven unless you are the joker aparently

    So this working together with Red Robin thing is still new, still fragile, and Jason is not the only one struggling to cope with it. And when a routine disruption of a smuggling operation takes an odd turn, Tim and Jason find themselves with a whole new perspective to sift through.

    Bookmarking mostly so that it's easier to find if I ever need to look it up, the body swap with the muscle memory and habits/addictions, physical reactions of each body was a great concept and the writing was insanely good so better to be safe than sorry and bookmark it

    For future me: if you're planning a re-read you better know that the fluff/resolution it's very short and kind of underwhelming not because of the writing but because of how short it is compared to the rest of the fic and while we get multiple povs of the characters, we don't really get to see the main couple interacting much after the feelings revelation so the povs feel at times like being taunted in a (not) fun way but I still loved the povs and insights so like, still worth a re-read but just don't read if you want fluff of this pairing

    “What?” Tim asked, slightly panicked at his tone.

    Call it paranoid, but Dick needed to know he wasn’t making this up. That he wasn’t stupidly hallucinating a name that wasn’t actually there.

    Tim swallowed, his grip on the card tightening. “Jason Peter Todd-Wayne,” he read, with obvious difficulty. Dick let out a startled laugh as he straightened up. He ran a frantic hand through his hair. “Fuck. Fuck!”

    Tim stared at him. “This is… Jason’s old library card,” he pointed out and Dick nodded, perhaps a bit too fast.

    Jason loses his old library card while on patrol as the Red Hood. He thinks nothing of it, as Jason Peter Todd-Wayne is legally dead to the world. In hindsight, he should have been worried, because his family are fucking detectives.

    Or: How a lost library card ruins all of Jason's big reveal plans; and reconnects him with his brothers somewhere along the way.

    This comment explained the Jason and Tim interactions on this: "I love the accidental implication here that Jason and Tim are like cats and you to let them metaphorically sniff each other through a door first and then they'll slowly adjust to each other and avoid a titans tower incident" and I love it
    The fic is mostly dick and Jason interaction thought, which can be summarized in what Jason says in the fic about him: "Still a chatterbox, still an annoyance to anyone in his general vicinity." Which translates to: "Dick is getting his little brother back no matter what Bruce or anyone says, he's gonna annoy him into his acceptance if he needs to"

    Or: the library is a great buffer for their first interactions since reappearing, civvies and a low tone of voice do that

    Also future me: there's glimpses of dick losing his shit/anger issues which I love to, he brute forces his way into managing his emotions thou, as always, but! There's some acknowledgment and comfort for that!

    It reads like a movie or a series, I loved it so much, the recurring themes and the Holocaust thoughts feel so Gen Z of him, like thinking about how the world sucks and trying to not get put down by it but also using it (or trying to) as empathy fuel, kinda failing and then later joking about those dark thoughts lmao Tim you're so real for that

    The dynamics are so good, second chapter with Jason was my favorite but I loved the overall tone of Tim's thoughts as he grows up, it's literally how I see him, the mention of how he's choosing to be good not like Bruce or dick choose to be good but because he originally had nothing to lose and then he does lose and how it takes him very close to the edge? Gods, I loved that.

    One of my fav characterization of Tim but also the interaction between siblings is really good too, the feels were immaculate

    Was going through my bookmarks and couldn't find this bookmarked, panicked and spent 30 minutes looking for it in my history

    This fic will haunt me forever and I love and hate their dynamic for it
    Obsessed with each other like canon but more codependency and toxic
    Sasuke thinks he has a leash on Naruto at the beginning but they're both shackled to each other in the best and worst of ways (This is a description after 3 months of reading it so not sure how close it is but the feeling is still there)

    Edit: First and second fic in the series are pretty dark and Sasuke is being a manipulate idiot, the second one is smut and shows his struggle with his real emotions for Naruto but I still find it bittersweet, it's after the third one shot that I find it to be more consensual and less codependent as time goes on
