A cerulean stare shimmered with mounting glee, lips slanting into a mischievous smirk, and if that didn't make Kiara's stomach flutter, the cocky wink that followed certainly did.

JJ survived Morocco. The Pogues got their revenge on Groff, found the Blue Crown, cleared their names, and finally saved Poguelandia. After everything, they were home.
Kiara and JJ finally got to live their dream: a legendary surf trip, just the two of them. But when a rainy day hit, it threatened to derail their plans.
Yet, with a little South American weed, a few cold beers, and hours spent reminiscing about how far they’d come, the rain didn’t seem so bad—suddenly turning into something better—complete with a spontaneous proposal and a coastal elopement, proving that stupid things have good outcomes all the time.

Their nights are spent by the fire, painted the green of a garden in bloom. Dinner and drinking and staying up until there is no choice but to give in to their unshakable exhaustion. Fighting for joy, for JJ’s bad jokes and Pope’s terrible impressions, for Kiara and John B arm wrestling over who gets to choose what movie they watch because sometimes, despite it all, they are still teenagers.
They are existing in the space between two breaths. Living in a loop. It goes like this over and over until one night, too soon, someone says, “What now?”
