Rafael gently grasped onto his hand, blissfully unaware of the awkward slouch Alec would walk with and the shoulder ache that would follow. Their nightly walks really consisted of them walking down to the local late night coffee shop for a hot chocolate that his baby would not admit to wanting. The coffee shop was recently opened due to a recently retired couple and a college student needing extra money hence the odd late night hours. The couple would coo over Rafael and especially go crazy over Max the few times he came with them despite his baby’s adorable grumpiness. "

Summary
Alec enters the loft stealthily, wanting to surprise Magnus. Since officially becoming boyfriends he has free access to the loft, Magnus’s wards letting him in without needing a key. He finds him lying on the couch, book in one hand, cocktail in the other. He looks so relaxed and utterly gorgeous. It makes Alec’s heart beat faster with how much he loves him.
He pads softly in socked feet to the couch, leaning over and kissing him upside down. Magnus startles briefly but then kisses him back with a gentleness that makes Alec’s toes curl.
“I missed you.”
