Summary
Pulling up to the Mayfield trailer, he spotted a familiar figure bent over the hood of a beat-up van a few spots down. Eddie Munson— long hair pulled into a high pony, donned in a grease-stained gray shirt with the sleeves cut off, completely absorbed in whatever he was doing to the engine.
Steve had no reason to stop. Should have just dropped off the casserole and left. But after leaving the dish with a note on the Mayfields’ doorstep (Max’s mom didn’t always answer), his hands turned the wheel anyway, pulling up in front of Eddie’s trailer.

Summary
New Year's Eve. 88 is turning into 89. It's almost the beginning of new decade.
Steve is the last person to arrive at the farmhouse, to celebrate New Year's with the old gang.
They all meet at Joyce and Hopper's as is tradition at this point. Since everyone branched out and started to live their lifes away from all the chaos, those get togethers start to feel like a family reunion.
There is laughter and drinks around a bonfire and good spirits at the dining table. Robin and Nancy are officially in a relationship, the younger kids are planning their lives after school, Joyce and Hopper have an invitation to extend.
But a dark cloud still hangs over their heads. Two people missing from the occasion.
There are different ways to deal with trauma and loss, so much is clear. But sometimes those ways collide with eachother.
But what is a family reunion, without a festive fight!
Tensions between Will and Mike finally boil over. The younger teens have to deal with their childhoods ending.
The rest is trying to learn how to move on and try to find their place in this world.
Of course, there is Steve and there is Eddie.Bookmarked by MinusTheDumbStar

Summary
“Jesus, Harrington.” Hargrove’s scrubbing his palms on his scrubs, like he’s trying to wipe off Robin’s cooties. “Just pick anything, it’s not that deep.”
“Whu—” Steve sputters, because seriously, what the hell does Hargrove know? “Then you come up with something, asshole!”
Hargrove’s mouth snaps shut. Clearly the dickhead didn’t think Steve was gonna call him on it. Chewing his lip for a minute, Hargrove’s eyes dart around the room. Then, slowly, like he’s sounding out the letters, he grumbles, “… Arnold.”
That sounds… familiar. Why is that familiar? Wait a fucking second. “Like the Terminator guy?”
Hargrove bristles, crossing his arms defensively. “Yeah, Harrington, like the Terminator guy.”
---
Billy comes back from the dead, Steve gets strong-armed into letting him crash on his couch, and more or less winds up championing the asshole’s character development. (Also, there’s a baby somewhere in the mix.)

“So… you did it?”
“Yup.”
“And it’s— legit, right? Like, they didn’t hand you a certificate that said, ‘Thanks for Trying, Better Luck Next Time’, and you just didn’t read it carefully—“

Summary
It would've been easier if he had just hated you. Easier if he smiled when he hit you. But he didn’t. And now you couldn’t stop wondering why.
This fic doesn't mention his dad so just pretend he doesn't exist (for the sake of Henry).
