Tommy has wings. His wings were beautiful, they had whites, silvers, and hints of gold. His wings were majestic. His wings were meant to fly; to soar through the sky. They were meant to be free.
But they weren't.
They are shabby and worn down. They no longer hold the power and beauty they once had. He cannot soar and fly through the sky like he yearns to. He cannot be free.
He is flightless.

Summary
There is an unspoken rule, kept by any outsider who's ever set foot in Gotham, that you should only ever visit the city once. (For some, even once is far too much.)
The most dangerous city on earth isn't kind to its residents—much less strangers who don't know how to watch their pockets or keep off the streets after dark. It's gotten better, perhaps, in recent years since the Bat started lurking on rooftops, but that doesn't mean the city is good.
Normal people stay as far from Gotham as they can get.
Marinette, (un)luckily, is far from normal.

The story of Marinette stumbling upon the illustrious Wayne family over and over again, as well as the more infamous Bats, over the course of her many visits to Gotham. She, of course, charms the whole lot of them and finds that the same is true in the reverse.

Summary
The students of Gotham Academy were confused. It was International Friendship Week, and it was Gotham’s turn to host. Except no one wanted Gotham to host, not even Gotham! So the Directors of the Friendship Conference decided that it was in everybody’s best interest to skip the City of Crime and go straight to the City of Lights. Everyone thought that it was the perfect idea! Except for Paris. The Gothamites couldn’t help but laugh and scoff at the Parisians insistence that Gotham would be a much safer place than Paris, and nothing should change. And everyone, even one Damian Wayne, was thrilled when the petition went through, and they boarded the plane for Paris.
And then…a giant baby…tried to eat the Eiffel Tower…they should have stayed in Gotham.- Language:
