Their lives will never be anything remotely close to normal, but the thought of participating in the mundane and acting like tourists had a nice appeal to it. As disgustingly cliché as it was, it had been something Goro wanted to experience for himself, and Akira was all too eager to jump on board.
If only he could figure out what anomaly possessed Akira to even think that hunting ghosts classified as a typical recreational activity.

Summary
Right now he wants to ask Morgana what in the hell he’s supposed to do. He’s never met Kurusu’s parents. In fact they were never mentioned once since Goro has known him. But the lack of reference to them was enough for him to guess that they weren’t the shining heroes of Kurusu’s life. And if them shipping Kurusu off to Tokyo was any indication, then the lack of conversation about them wasn’t too difficult to parse. He should find some amusement that Kurusu’s life wasn’t so perfect in this facet either, but strangely all he feels is a simmering anger that slowly begins to take the place of his previous anxiety.
Or rather, Goro learns that Kurusu's life isn't the perfect image he always expected it to be. And that maybe they both understand each other far more than Goro ever truly realized. It's just unfortunate that it takes being forced into Kurusu's body and made to live his life to make that connection.

Summary
“Why can’t you just take a hint? I don’t want your help.” The words threaten to catch in his throat as a wave of unpleasant emotions hit. But he hopes they come out strong and angry. Though he’s not sure if Kurusu actually finds his attempt believable as there’s a pregnant pause.
“Why can’t you just accept that it’s okay to ask for help.” Kurusu doesn’t phrase it as a question. Instead he says it with a certain finality that this is the one argument he won’t lose too, and it leaves Goro seething.
Or, somehow the Metaverse spit Goro back out into the world of the living against his will. Now he has to navigate his emotions with recovery and what comes next.
