Summary
The first problem is that Lan Zhan's date chose a cheese restaurant in Camden Market for their date. Camden Market is a cesspool of tourists that Lan Zhan avoids on principle. But now he has to weave his way through throngs of tourists who think it is appropriate to stop in the middle of the pavement on the High Road to look at tacky, cheap souvenirs that most definitely were not made in London. They are oblivious to the world around them and all the people who want to actually walk on the pavement, like they're meant to do.
Lan Zhan has a bad date in Camden Market and then runs into his absolutely, definitely straight colleague, Wei Ying, possibly committing acts of vadalism. Even though Lan Zhan has been trying to get over his hopeless crush on Wei Ying, he finds himself agreeing to a street art tour and a night that proves he may have misjudged his colleague.

Summary
"I am going to get you laid, Lan Zhan," Nie Huaisang says with an unsettlingly large grin.
Lan Zhan has decided that he's going to have sex. Once he does, he won't be able to donate blood, something he's wanted to do but put off for several years because of a phobia of needles. The day he is due to go to a gay club with Nie Huaisang to meet someone to lose said virginity to, he goes to a blood donation clinic to donate blood. Lucky for Lan Zhan, he ends up with a rather charming nurse who helps make the whole ordeal easier.

Summary
The Cloud Recesses Guest Lectures were held every three years for disciples between the ages of fifteen and eighteen. They had three purposes.
The first (and the reason it was hosted by the Lan) was to provide a shared baseline understanding of the core cultivation topics that underpinned every sect while not divulging clan-specific approaches.
The second was to create opportunities for friendships and alliances that would reduce the chance of war between the clans.
The third, and most important, was for the clans to replenish their bloodline by finding compatible mates with strong cultivation skills. In the last month of the lectures, challenges to test compatibility could be issued.
Wei Wuxian challenges Lan Wangji, sure that they are compatible mates. The Lan refuse to allow the Challenge.
They come to regret it.

Summary
The kid’s barely out of the car when his parents speed off, kicking up a cloud of dirt that drifts into Wei Ying’s summer charge’s hair. It’s almost funny, but only almost. The kid’s a scrawny thing, more scowl than person. He hefts his bag and says snottily, “I’m Mo Xuanyu, and I’m here as punishment.”
"Gotcha!" Wei Ying says brightly. “And what did you do that’s so bad you have to spend all summer on our little farm?”
An even bigger scowl. It’s threatening to take over his entire body. It’s cute.
“I told the truth.”
“Mm, and what’s that?”
Mo Xuanyu juts his jaw. Thirteen-year-olds are funny. “I’m gay. And if you don’t like it, you can go fuck yourself.”

Wei Ying was practically hopping from foot to foot with news bursting out of him. "Lan Zhan, Lan Zhan, this is big. His date is a guy!"

The doorbell rang and cut through the static noise in Lan Zhan's brain as it processed that information. Their son was going to prom with a boy? Why had A-Yuan not mentioned this before? Was he afraid of telling him?
OR: A-Yuan brings a date home for prom. It's a strange spiral of memories for both Lan Zhan and Wei Ying, healing their past and letting Wei Yuan explore his future unburdened. Part three of the series, you should probably read parts one and two for the full emotional impact, or just enjoy if you're looking for a little fluffy story that ends with dancing.
