Steve hears a deep inhale over the line as Danny scents the air. “I’ve got enough to track him in close range, but there’s something hinky with it…oh. Hold on. Shit!” The pace of his footsteps increases. Danny has to be sprinting now, his breath coming in harsh exhales that fuzz in Steve’s ear.
