Bruce had a peculiar habit of sitting down whenever they had time for a proper conversation, Clark noticed. Knees apart, elbows on his thighs, head tipped up and back at a precise angle that would show his clavicle – if he wasn’t wearing the armour – but hide his throat with his jaw and chin.

Summary
Post-JL 2017, Bruce and Clark are starting to figure each other out. Clark's also starting to think he wants to get to know Bruce a lot better than either of them expected.
And then, to help the dangerously depleted ranks of the Green Lanterns collect evidence against an intergalactic slave trader, they have to go undercover: Clark as the Kryptonian overlord who conquered Earth and has proven able to hold it against even the incursions of the New Gods of Apokolips ... and the pride of his personal collection, a human warrior he subdued and trained himself. Which means Clark has to pretend he really is the nightmare Bruce once believed he would be, and he also has to keep it together in the face of leading a collared, naked Bruce around on a chain—when all he's starting to realize he actually wants is to get on his knees for Bruce instead.

Summary
Almost every instance in the past, Bruce would have preferred to handle this alone. Maybe preference isn’t the right word, but it was how it always was—returning home after an exhausting, strenuous night of patrol and putting the pieces of himself back together. Licking wounds, salving his own skin, and attempting to be in bed before the sun fully rose in a mattress too large for only himself to occupy. It used to be routine, and Bruce struggles with accepting that it doesn’t have to be this way anymore, that it isn’t, and even further, that he doesn’t want it to be.

Summary
When Clark reflects back on his life before, and the transition to where he is now, the rest of the world fades into the background until all he can see is Bruce in every memory. A staple of his past, his present, and hopefully his future. Perhaps that’s selfish of him, but Clark doesn’t care to learn to control himself around Bruce, not now after everything.
The looks in peoples’ eyes, the amazement, the worship towards the characterization of Superman never sat right with him. The glimpses of those things, but beyond them in Bruce’s eyes when he looks at Clark fits perfectly within him.

Summary
It feels wrong to pull this hard, and Clark can feel the minute way the muscle fibers strain and resist as Clark moves, how the bone drags for what feels like a century before it gives with a soft pop and settles back into the joint.
If Clark hadn’t been so close, hadn’t been him, he doubts he would have been able to hear the noise that Bruce makes, soft and punched out, as his shoulder moves unnaturally back into place.
