Summary
The maskflies fly toward them, and the little vessel hears the sound of wings growing louder. Then suddenly, a sharp, painful whine pierces the air, followed by the rustle of something falling through the leaves nearby.
The little vessel freezes. Sibling's arm stiffens. The remaining maskflies scatter overhead, and in the settling quiet, they hear a thin, desperate cry from the undergrowth.
The little vessel moves before thinking, rushing toward the sound. Sibling bolts after them. They come to a stop at the edge of a large thicket.
A maskfly hangs limp in the vines, wings caught and ripped by bright orange thorns. Blood seeps from a long crack running through the eye of its mask
The right eye.
Something cold and sharp twists in their chest.

Oh! Ghost perks up. That must be what they are doing! The two of them must be going to visit Hornet or Quirrel! They tug slightly on Hollow’s sleeve to get their big sibling’s attention and turn around to face them. The two siblings quickly make eye contact.
Figured it out! Ghost announces this with not a small amount of pride.
Oh? Figured what out? Hollow’s words have a mixture of curiosity and amusement in them.

Sibling just needs to be patient.
Hollow could be infuriating sometimes.
