Summary
Piers Nivans and the rest of Alpha team are sent in to lead a raid on an insurgent camp in Edonia. Their intel says there are numerous wanted mercenaries among them that are wanted for questioning and various war crimes. In the middle of the fight, Piers sees a young mercenary fleeing for an abandoned mine system. Giving chase, he soon discovers the man had set off a trap and had collapsed the whole entrance in.
With no way out, Piers is forced to work together with his new prisoner in order to escape the seemingly endless tunnels. Unbeknownst to Piers, he's about to discover several new truths that are going to shed a whole new light on both his mission and himself.

Summary
Two years after the events in China, Jake just wants to earn some money from a mercenary job in the mountains. But his work is cut short before it can even begin, when he runs into some old acquaintances on the way. Instead of breaking into an underground lab, he now has to deal with the aftermath of a certain sniper being broken out of that same underground lab after being used as a tool for attempted blackmail. He isn't really prepared to have to work through the resurfacing of some strange feelings for said sniper, when he has so painstakingly tried to forget ahout him all this time.
