    Summary

Dream-walking is a little-known skill that is passed down through Poseidon's lineage. This, of course, means Poseidon is quite the dream-walker himself.

On an unrelated note, Zeus meets one of his siblings long before their father disgorges them from his stomach.

Wow everyone! Such a great story about the life of the Elder Gods before the Titanomachy! Give it a read, it's amazing!

I love Poseidon in this, and his "dream-walking" skill is actually such an amazing idea! There should be more of this around! And the dynamic between siblings is great as well, despite focusing on Zeus and Poseidon's relationship, the other siblings never felt left out; they fit in just right with the focus of the story, so it's a well delightful read if you enjoy the six siblings! It's also a nice glimpse of Zeus during his preparation and training, not many stories focus on his doing in the caves and interaction with the people that care for him before the war, so this one's a gem in that manner as well!

    Summary

“Oh… Mr. Itadori, you mean… you don’t know?” The man’s voice sounded grave.

“Don’t call me that. Just call me Sukuna. And no, I don’t know. What the hell am I supposed to know?” Sukuna barked back. Now he was getting irritated. “You’re speaking in code, asshole. Why don’t you just spit out whatever it is you’ve called me for?”

There was a small pause after and the man on the other end cleared his throat.

“I’m terribly sorry to be the one to tell you. But… your brother and his wife… they’ve both passed away.” The man named Ijichi said sadly.

    OR

Sukuna hasn’t talked to his twin brother Jin for thirteen years. The last time Sukuna saw his nephew, he was two years old. Now, Sukuna has no choice but to take care of his fifteen year old nephew, who he barely knows. This was definitely not in his life bingo card.

EDIT AS OF 7/3: I removed Toge from this storyline. He will be featured in possible spin-off of this fic!!

This is the most beautiful Uncle-Nephew story of this two I ever read. You know the cakes analogy for fanfiction where every fics are different cakes to enjoy? So this is like getting your dream birthday cake that you want for your 16th birthday where you know the theme you want and the colour that goes with it and the decorations gives you so much joy and whimsy and the clothes you wear were exactly the right fit and the guest are all the people you want to be with you and every single gifts were wrapped so beautifully and it hold everything you want, yeah that's like this fic.

Sobs, I'm crying man, I mean! I'm smiling! I read every single chapters, every single words with a smile! Never been so happy with a fic my entire life! For me it's very simple story with slice of life conflict that hits all the feels in very good, very right way. The kids' group act so much like kids their age, the words flow naturally, the pace is consistent and well-balanced, and I just love Yuuji's arc man, this coming of age story where he's trying to navigate grief and the loss of his loved ones while living with a stranger who's also family. All the relationships!! Between the children and the adult are so organic, the chemistry hold all the correct formula! Yuuji and Miles' bond are just so precious, they were handled so well that I valued their friendship more than his bond with his canon friends (not that they don't matters!!) Love how much more invested Nanami and Ijichi were on Yuuji well-being without them taking too much space in the picture bc the focus of this story is Yuuji and Sukuna trying to build (mend) their relationship that's right on top a shaky and crumbling foundation as it is!, So other characters roles in giving enough nudge to the right direction for these two were very well-placed and satisfactory! (Nanami and Ijichi are the GOATS!! THEY CLUTCHED!! THEY LOCKED IN!!)

Sukuna and Yuuji?? Mmmmmm no words, the story tells everything, you want to see the relationship? The bonding, the resentment, the arguing, the tentative truce, the vulnerable heart to heart, the GROWTH - read it, just read it. You gonna feels like you get a birthday/wedding/anniversary/christmas present you never thought you WANT but absolutely what you NEED. The setting and choice of community could be jarring at first, as it is very rich and deep-seated with American culture but the backdrop of their story are so fluid, they blend seamlessly. Besides, the diaspora experience is something everyone could related a lot in this globalised era.

Also this human Sukuna is actually believable, his characterisation hit all the right spot of canon!Sukuna except he's human with family and already gone through his evil era and now in a tame and tired uncle era. (But a tiger no matter how old still hold its claws, remember that) Sukuna's origin (heh) story are so fucking funny man, it's a rollercoaster ride of course!! But oh God I can imagine him telling it to Yuuji without giving two shits how it's going to be received by the poor boy. Classic Sukuna.

Also I love Higuruma here, people may perceived him as the enemy but I genuinely believe he actually also looking out for Yuuji's well-being, that's just the kind of person he really is, he values justice and they kinda not doing it properly in matters of Yuuji's guardianship so he's a man on a mission to ensure no funny business happens with a kid's life on the line here. More like he was making sure that actually giving the boy to his estranged uncle is the right thing to do.

I must say how refreshing it is to see how loving and caring Kaori and Jin was as a family with Yuuji, considering err canon lmao. As people have perceived them as fucked up, no one could ever thought for them to be a stable and functional family. BUT the author Nailed It!! That's like deserving the greatest respect ever, for I love Yuuji's parents so much, felt the losses and felt the frustration and anger, felt the longing and felt all the what could have beens. Their presences felt like a phantom in the story, but it's the one you chase, saw it at the corner of your eye and can't help but look to see if they're there even just a glimpse.

I'm so touched by the story, I read it in one night until morning! No sleeping! Even when my eyelids were droppy, I just power through it with sheer force of will. Who needs sleep anyway??? (Little kids look away, follow your bed times, don't be like me) I never write this long for a bookmark before and I'm picky too (a me problem don't mind it) so this story means a lot to me!! It's a gold mine! A dragon's hoard! A pirate's treasure! Just, everything I ever want and more.

Highly recommend!! Join me!! It's awe-inspiring and SO worth it!

    Summary

Sukuna died and got reincarnated in a world where curses don't exist. Yet he remembers everything from his previous life, dreaming to bring humanity to his feet again if it wasn't for his, well, paws, because Sukuna is a dog now. Getting used to this new body and weird instincts is one thing. Acknowledging his intelligence and sensitive smell to make him a diabetic-alert dog is another. Then an unexpected yet familiar person comes to his training center, and Sukuna is suddenly very determined to become their partner.

Or: Sukuna is a service dog, and Yuuji has diabetes. The first one needs to help survive the latter. Ironic, isn't it? Not enough. Let's make them very attached to each other in the process!

Sobs, such a heartwarming story. Oh Yuuji, you precious sunshine and surprisingly, Sukuna POV as a dog is sure damn entertaining LMAO. I like to believe this is the ending to canon, thank you very much!! Yuuji just have so much love and so much warmth to give, he would pull shit like this, damn boy taking everything as his own burden and responsibility! Everything's needed to be share Yuuji! Not just love, but also duty! Sadness! Anger! Happiness! We never meant to carry any of that alone, so learn to share okay, we strive when we extended our hands to help others and when we allow others to help us in return, it is how it is meant to be...

Yuuji! Yuuji! My boy deserves so many good things in this life and the after!

Haibara is so amazing in this!! He's so gentle, so warm, so soft, so caring, so much wonderful words that makes up this awe-inspiring man! I love his dialogue the most because he didn't only say just the right thing to Yuuji but his words always drips with genuine love and care, ahhh I wish someone spoke to me like Haibara, wait no, I wish I speak like Haibara, could utter words with comfort like the feels of a cotton candy dissolving in your mouth every day! I want to be someone that offer safety and sense of belonging like Haibara did Yuuji!

And Sukuna, mmmm I always believe he didn't deserve a second chance, after everything he put Yuuji and everyone through, on top of being a calamity. But ahh fix-it and AU fanfics were always there to prove me wrong, ahah! Mmhh mmhh~ still stand by my point though! But Sukuna in this fic deserve all the happiness and love as well because he work so hard and did such a good job! What a good boy-a doggie even! May I just say he's just so Sukuna at the beginning with him being offended at becoming a dog but then couldn't careless about the predicament he was in, lol, he has such a whatever attitude or "it is what it is" which is why he's a persistent enigma! Bro make do with everything and anything just so he could live the life he will himself, and that's admirable!! And then he found Yuuji, and perhaps being a dog mellowed him up bc there's ain't much revenge plan you could pull by being a four legs animal, so he stick at first bc of the familiarity but then begrudging hatred turn to hesitant care and finally blossomed into a genuine love and look at that! It was reciprocated too! Who would've thought that for peace and harmony, all you need is love. Lol.

It's a beautiful piece of work! I'm very happy to read this (and finish it in one-sitting too! Ahh so lucky to be me, or better yet, heh it's the 'work of Fate' that I found it as it's finished, wink wink)
