“Everything in the ocean has tentacles, Goldfish Brain.”
Meanwhile, Damian, still watching from the side, tilted his head. “Drake is right. This place is full of threats.”
Tim preened. “Thank you, Damian.”
“I say we take over the lifeguard tower and declare this land ours.”
“…Okay, maybe not that.”
Bruce groaned into his hands.

Damian Wayne lived a good life. He’d done the whole “Heir to the Demon” thing, survived a handful of resurrections, saved the world more times than he could count on one hand and eventually died exactly how a hero should—prematurely. He has no regrets. He’s finished.
But the universe, apparently, is a glutton for punishment.

Jason rolled his eyes. “Oh, let me guess. You’ve got a better idea, demon brat?”
“As a matter of fact, I do,” Damian said smoothly. “I’ll call my dragon.”
The silence that followed was instant and deafening, broken only by the wind whistling over the peaks.
“You’ll call your what?” Tim asked, his voice sharp with disbelief.
“My dragon,” Damian repeated like it was the most obvious thing in the world. “Wiggles has been tracking us since we entered these mountains.”

And of course, it starts and ends with Damian dying. Oh, and Jon's there too. Damian blames the start of his unraveling as Jonathan's fault. But, to be fair, its really not as bad as it seems. For Damian at least.

A realization that’s been lapping at the edges of Sokka’s mind all night finally crashes over him in a wave. “You really hate yourself,” he says slowly, as the cold understanding sinks in.
Zuko’s glare could melt glaciers. “You wouldn’t, if you’d done all the things I’ve done?” he says, which would be fair, except — it’s not just about the things Zuko’s done, is it? It’s also about the things he hasn’t. Zuko hates himself for things that are his fault, and things that aren’t. For who he is, and who he hasn’t managed to be.
And Sokka can see, with sudden, sharp clarity, that if he were to plot the strength of Zuko’s self-hatred alongside the strength of his bending over time, the two lines would hug in almost perfect sync. Which leaves Sokka with only one question: whether someone’s self-loathing could run so deep and unrelenting that it sustains their bending for the better part of a decade.
The night before going in search of Sun Warrior ruins, Zuko starts to doubt that hatred is the source of his bending after all. Sokka helps him figure out what it really is.

A young god with his father’s wrath and his mother’s impetuousness, fuelled by his grandmother’s calculated spite. He thinks of the swathes of dead that disembark Charon’s ferry still shivering and huddled together as though their shades could hold warmth.
Perhaps the Zagreus who has grown up with cold eternal is as icy and cruel as Demeter herself. Perhaps he will bring nothing but strife. Olympian history is full of sons overthrowing their fathers, after all.

Summary
When the professors at Hogwarts decide to roll in a new assignment for the prefects, Regulus is tasked with writing an essay on an impossible topic. Some have to write about their pets, others have to discuss their favourite book. Instead of something simple, he has to write about the person who raised him. Oh, and then he has to present his essay to the whole school.
Regulus doesn’t know how he’ll find a single positive thing to say about his parents. Walburga and Orion aren’t exactly the warm and fuzzy type. He’s quite sure he’s doomed, until a chance meeting with his brother brings forth a humbling realisation.
