Harry had had enough; he was fed up with the Dursleys, Dumbledore, and Britain in general. After two school years in which he was nearly killed and twelve years of abuse by his mother's relatives, 13-year-old Harry does the unthinkable... He kills the Dursleys in an accidental magical explosion. He knows they'll try to arrest him, so he does the obvious: he grabs his things and runs away from home; now it would just be him and his owl.
But when a huge black dog crosses his path, seemingly as alone and lost as he is... Well, Harry decides he has room beside him for a pet dog (who he doesn't even realize is his godfather).
