Summary
maomao gets too engrossed collecting poisonous barnacles from the underside of boats near the shore, follows the boat a bit too far, and gets caught by a very angry guard convinced she is an underwater assasin trying to kill the moon prince
Her pleas of being simply an ignorent girl seem to be working on the guys commander, and she's about to be let back to her beautiful barnacles
until a celestial, pouting woman barges out and demands to know what's going on
Now she's stuck on the opposite side of the boat from her wonderful barnacles, in "warm clothes" the woman's lady in waiting gave her, in front of said heavenly maiden, being asked questions she has no intents on answering,
and worst of all, they stole her coat
now what?

Maomao thinks everyone knows she's a selkie and is just waiting for them to admit thatBasen is sure she's an assasin dressed in a seal costume and tries to convince literally anyone to believe him (he fails)
And jinshi is just deeply confused and mildly (extremely) concerned

In the bandit camp Maomao is questioned a little more incessantly on the topic of her supposed husband.
