Alternate Bad Ending For Sonic Forces, leading into Sonic being isekaied into a new world via Paradox Prism. Tags subject to change (ADHD)
Everything is gone. Everything is burning and crashing down around him. Every life snuffed out in an instant, thanks to a miscalculation on Doctor Robotnik's new "Mind Beam". Everyone Sonic ever knew, ever met, ever loved, and everyone he hadn't, all gone. Even Shadow passed after giving the last of his life force, his chaos energy, to Sonic, in a last ditch effort to turn the tide of war. Oh, and how pointless it was, in the end.
On a burning planet, the only two living souls left were Doctor Robotnik and Sonic. One a madman, the other a hero, defeated.
With perhaps an ounce of remorse, the Doctor sends Sonic somewhere else. Somewhere he can start anew. Somewhere he'll have a second chance to save lives, even if many of them bore the faces of his lost loved ones.
Somewhere that already has a Sonic. One who cares for no one but himself. One who puts his own world at risk.
A story of healing, trust, family, pain, romance, and justice.

Bdubs has done well for himself, thank you very much! He's got a ship, he's got business, he's got friends! A man needs nothing more in the grand universe.
It's hard being a human in the great beyond; a new species to the intergalactic community means poachers, a black market, and an everpresent danger.
The solution? Simple! Don't be a human.
Obviously, it's not going to be as easy as that. Not when he finds himself joining the crew of the Hermit Craft, not when he learns he's not quite alone.

Summary
Grian cowers from him, shrinking back into the wall. It does nothing for him but make him an easier target. Bdubs plants a hand in the middle of his chest, pinning him to the mossy stone walls, and drags him upwards.
“What are you doing?” Grian gasps, forming the words breathlessly around Bdubs’ hands at his lungs. He whimpers as the stone digs into his back, rips through his shirt, tears into his skin– “What are you-!”
Bdubs puts his free hand on Grian’s face. For a moment, he holds it there and does nothing. Grian’s breaths puff over the palm of his hand, hot and panicked, as the blood from his broken nose drips down his arm. There exists a moment in which Bdubs considers not doing what he’s about to do.
He pushes his fingers into Grian’s eyes and cracks his skull open on the wall.
And then there is clarity.
