Summary
Groose was not a hero. Not by any shape of the title.
Heroes weren't, as Groose once foolishly believed, self-made. They were predestined. Birthed from the womb of destiny, thrust into their destines by divine will, cultivated by challenges that the gods above bestowed upon them.
No, Groose was not a hero. And if Groose wasn't a hero, then he was a useless waste of space that no longer wanted part of a story he had no right belonging in.
But fate had other ideas, particularly a journey into an unfamiliar land that will force Groose to join arms with a high-spirited girl who claims to be the legendary hero incarnate, contend with his insecurities, and discover that true heroism is dictated by more than just divine will.
