It’s then, looking at the space between them—the deliberate way Atsumu tucked himself away from Kiyoomi’s side of the bed, away from where he knew Kiyoomi would lay—that he thinks the space between them is a little too daunting to cross. With a storm raging and an ocean between them, it feels as if Kiyoomi is braving the waters in a dingy being thrown about the sea.
So he lets himself cry and cry and cry until there’s nothing left but the wet spots on his pillow.

No relationship is ever perfect, and Atsumu and Kiyoomi are no exception. Though Kiyoomi always thought they would be able to work through their stubbornness and tempers, he never expected to be cut off from Atsumu. Atsumu was never supposed to be the source of Kiyoomi's loneliness after all.
