Dream let go of the medicine cabinet entirely, moving to stand between his legs. “Why do you sound surprised?”
Palms on his forearms made it hard to think, the way they kept sliding down to his hands as if drawn there. “I’m not, I just–“ He took a breath, took Dream’s hands in his. “It’s a thank you.”
“Oh.” And Dream looked so pleased, a secret smile threatening the corners of his lips. “Well, you’re welcome.”
George gets terribly sick, and he feels like death, and maybe it’s time he learns that it’s okay to accept help. Especially when it’s from the two people he loves most in the world.

A beat of silence passes. Then another, and George parts his lips to say his name again when Dream shifts in his sleep, rolling over to expose his face. He stops.============
Dream sleeps through George's arrival to Florida.
