Summary
Even if Zhongli could never fall in love with a woman like Ganyu, the International Skating Union prohibiting same-sex teams meant that he had to compete with her as his partner instead of his fiancé. But since her childhood friend would be moving away to marry Ajax, she’s finally forced to confront the reality that the feelings she had for him would never be reciprocated—a fact she hasn’t been able to fully accept yet.
Now, without a reason to continue figure skating, Ganyu struggles to find closure after all their hard work training together comes to an abrupt end with a tragic accident. Still, even without Zhongli by her side, there’s something about the rink that she can’t quite stay away from once he’s gone, only to find a new purpose in life with someone else there. Perhaps it’s an ironic twist of fate then, that she should find her redemption with a woman who’s always criticized the ISU’s homophobic rules as someone who always supported it. Maybe, with Keqing, she’ll even find love where there once was only hate.

Keqing is the vice president of the student council (she’s still working on that ‘vice’ part), Ganyu sticks around after school to help feed the bunnies.
Keqing likes to make her complaints heard, while Ganyu is frustratingly okay with just about anything. That’s why they make such an awful pair, so bad that they could never, ever, ever be anything more than rivals.

Yanfei stiffened, the words hitting her. She had never seen this child before. Not once. Yet the child knew her.
“Okay,” Yanfei exhaled, though her mind swirled with confusion. "Let’s head to the Harbor, shall we?"
