As Logan crosses the room, his heavy footsteps cutting a clear line across Scott’s bedroom for the bathroom attached, Scott shakes his head. “I know what phō is, Logan. What’re you doing here?”
In reply, Logan chuckles. It’s that low, dry rumble that seems to dole out annoyance and fondness in equal measure. To Scott’s endless frustration, it’s how Logan replies to most things. He turns on the tap in the bathroom. Lets it run.
“What’s it look like?” he says, letting the water run over his fingers. “Helping your sorry ass out, Slim.”

Tim was eagerly counting down the days, making good use of the advent calendar Bruce set out, each day on the calendar opening to a quaint little wintry image. Bruce and Alfred promised the full Christmas experience from decorating a real, live, Christmas tree to watching the best Christmas movies (it was a crime Bruce had never seen Elf, Tim was determined to make this his other gift to Bruce). It was supposed to be a real family Christmas, like Tim always saw in the movies.

Tim is lying in bed, wide awake. It’s early. Like 3 AM early. Tim thinks of all the things he has to do today. He’s got a test on the skeletal system in Mrs. McGregor’s Anatomy class. Then there’s the reading quiz over Chapters 3 - 5 of Animal Farm in Mr. Mickelson’s English class and if he’s being honest with himself, he’s not really prepared for that. Then his American Civil War test in Ms. Burke’s American History class. Why all of his teachers decided today would be a good day for tests, he didn’t know. If Tim were really smart, he’d pay one of the Rogues to stage some kind of attack to give him a day off school. But Tim isn’t smart. Tim is very very dumb. And this very dumb boy is going to go to school today, despite feeling like he’s going to blow chunks.

Head tucked between his knees, Tim breathed through it, as his stomach swooped and head went fuzzy and pale. Ohhhh, this was the worst moment of his life.
He saw the knees of the other boy—he was crouching next to him, now, and Tim lifted his head. The boy's face swam into view across his hazy vision, and he saw the dark hair, tan skin, clear turquoise blue. He should probably be disappointed that this was his first real meeting with Jason Todd, but he was a little bit too focused on not passing out in the school corridor.
___Tim Drake almost passes out in class, and Jason Todd is given the job to help him to the office. But when Jason learns Tim was going to take an Uber home, of all things, he can't let that happen. What else could he do other than take Tim to Wayne Manor?
