Summary
“What, cat got your tongue?” The smirk in his voice was so obvious Robert didn’t need to look up to see it on his face. That was just his luck, he supposed. No peace, no quiet, only Flambae, who was shadowing him most of the night and almost burned him to death at one point.
“More like someone pissed in my drink” was Robert’s only answer. He really wasn’t in the mood, not right now, when he was still sore, to amuse the flaming hero. Whatever colorful story he was just saying probably wasn't worth listening to. If it were, he would listen from the beginning.

"Flambae." Robert grips his arm tight, eyes darting about the familiar, warm features. A face he wants to sear into his mind.
Flambae looks at him, smiles, eyes crinkling in the corners. "Don't worry, Bob-Bob. I have something to tell you after this."
Robert swallows hard, hands trembling, a surge of fear overwhelming him. He has so much he wants to say. Don't go. Instead, he grins back, letting go. "Alright. Burn good."

“What’s a good line to text a guy during a blackout?”
Robert responded automatically, giving some cheesy line from the top of his head about looting that even he could tell wasn’t great - though he blamed it on his having to focus on the huge shitstorm brewing across the city thanks to the blackout.
…He didn’t particularly think Golem’s suggestion of “Boo” was that good either, but Flambae obviously had his own ideas of what guys want to hear. Given how often he bragged in comms about getting with different guys, maybe Robert’s judgement was just off.
