Summary
Nico hated being touched.
Percy knew it. Reyna knew it. Annabeth and Hazel knew it. Chiron knew it. Hades and Persephone knew it. Pretty much everyone in the entire world knew that Nico hated being touched.
Unfortunately, that included Will Solace.

“How was your day?” Nico asked, setting aside his book and yanking back the blanket.
Will grunted, giving up. “Mmm. Y’know. Average. I feel weird.” He shivered.
“Awww,” Nico cooed sarcastically. “Baby.”
“I love it when you call me pet names.”
“I was insulting you.” Nico’s eyes roved over Will’s face. He really didn’t look well; he was flushed and a little sweaty, and he had a distant look in his eyes. “Seriously though, are you okay?”
“No,” Will moaned. “I feel horrible.” He quietened, squeezing his eyes shut. “I just want to go back to sleep.”

Summary
When the ambulance responded to the car crash outside, Marazzi didn’t even really think. The patient was in near critical condition—he would die if he wasn’t immediately moved to surgery.
“Page Doctor Solace!” he shouted to the nearest doctor, who nodded and ran. Marazzi sighed in relief as Will sprinted into the corridor, nearly tripping over another nurse in his haste to reach the patient.
“One victim of the crash, young adult male, we don’t know his identity yet,” he relayed. “He’s going to need emergency surgery!” To his surprise, his best doctor was silent as the grave. The supervisor turned his head.
Will stared at the body on the stretcher. His own face drained of blood, leaving him white as a ghost, and his eyes looked haunted—almost like shellshock. “I can’t do this surgery,” he rasped.
