Summary
“The silver lining of the mirrors does a true disservice to your complexion.” The voice came from behind, but there was no image visible in the mirror as strong, cool arms wrapped themselves around Scott’s midsection, drawing him into the strong chest behind him, “It washes out the delightful red flush to your skin.”
The words are all but whispered to his neck, lips ghosting over his pulse point, the phantom of knife sharp fangs hanging against the thin skin covering his veins, but instead of shying away, Scott did as he always did, and leaned in. He felt the smile against his skin, even as he remained the only figure in the mirror.
“You and I both know the mirror doesn’t wash me out to anyone but you. Silver makes the perfect reflection. You just have trouble with it.” Scott replies with a laugh, smirking when the vampire behind him grumbles without words.

Tango felt himself shiver slightly under Zed’s gentle touch. They were skin to skin, with the warm press of the blonde’s palm making direct contact with Tango’s waist and stomach. His heart flipped halfway as he imagined Zedaph seeking him out during the night, moving the material of his shirt aside.
It was a notion so tender yet so fundamentally fleeting, it was everything. And yet, it was nowhere near enough.
Not even close.
-OR-
Zedaph and Tango are famous heroes who have to keep their friendship hidden for protection. Which, in turn, leads to many people believing them to be enemies rather than coworkers.
And so, when Zed instinctively walks back to Tango’s house instead of his own after a night out, the Press (and Twitter) seem to have an awful lot to say about it.

As the silence filled the room, Etho simply nodded. “Impulse is coming later today to check you out. He was out at False’s base, then he’ll be over here.”
“Did Jimmy convince you to do this?” Tango said, fighting to keep his voice even. The anger started to rise in him.
He got that they were concerned, but he was fine. He could handle this to make his friends proud and give them a break. Why couldn’t they understand that?
“No. He asked me to talk to you. I chose to call Impulse. I’m not convinced that you don’t have redstone poisoning, and Impulse knows the signs better than I do.”
“And so what if I do? It’s not affecting me! Let me decide what I can handle,” Tango’s voice started to rise.
: Or three times Tango's worried friends tell him to take a break from building decked out, and one time he actually does.
