Tanjirou seemed insulted by the sentence, his frown was deep, but the only thing that caused such action was to make him look like a small child during a tantrum "Nezuko is beautiful!" He had expressed with conviction, usually, the conversation would have ended with that sentence, but this time Tanjirou did the unthinkable. “Besides, that's not true, just yesterday I talked to a very pretty girl, she had really beautiful eyes and a nice aura around her. She smelled like peaches."

The blonde began to cry and Tanjiro could tell by the scent that his companion was happy. Still, he comforts Zenitsu like always as he embraced the tearful teen.

Or: Tanjiro returned to his mountain home that fateful day with no one left alive. Instead of his companion being Nezuko, it is a certain blonde forced to forfeit humanity.
