   Summary

   Atsushi, a 12-year-old orphan, battles neglect and hunger in the desolate orphanage. In the dim basement, he faces punishment for stealing food and desperation drives him to self-cannibalism, a harrowing choice for survival. Shibusawa, a mysterious man, offers hope and promises to rescue him from the torment. Atsushi's journey from despair to hope unfolds in the once-haunting cage, marking a turning point in his tumultuous life. Poor little Atsushi doesn't know that the journey to the light is going to be a lot longer than he thought it would be.
