“Careful, was that a squeak I hear? Going to finally start on getting taller than me?"
It's been nearly two days at work spent dealing with the aftermath of another 'dispute' between the Falcones and Maronis, switching off taking short naps in the bus with his partner when they’d need to sanitize and restock, and Dick is finally going to see his bed again.
On the way home Dick runs across Jason Todd, a local kid Dick has gotten close with after an incident of petty theft. Dick can’t do much for Jason, but he can at least feed him and allow him the chance to not be the ‘responsible adult’ for a minute.

Talon is freshly cut off from everything it knows after the Court falls to the Batman when it comes across a small boy in an alley.
Jason just wants to survive another week when he comes across the freakin’ Batmobile with no Batman in sight and a tire iron in hand.
Bruce just doesn’t want to fail another child when he discovers not all of the Court is gone.
One Talon still remains, and its taken a young boy. Bruce and Alfred do everything they can to find the pair before it is too late and find that not everything, like far too often in Gotham, is as it seems.

When Matches Malone strides into Red Hood’s meeting and settles in among the new recruits, Jason Todd has never been more grateful for the full face helmet. Why was
dadBruceBatman here…?Then Jason thinks back to the gala and curses internally. Bruce had obviously figured out from their encounter at the gala who Red Hood really is, and has decided to… what? Taunt him? Anger flaring, Jason refuses to react to the persona that Jason himself had once helped Bruce to dress up as. Whatever this is, if Bruce wants to play dress up and look like a fool, who is Jason to stop him.

Bruce isn’t sure what to expect when he walks into the meeting led by Red Hood. Even though his recent ‘rescue’ at the hands of Hood had Bruce looking at the new crime lord's activities with a fresh light, there was still the more pressing concern.
Red Hood had deliberately gone for and pressed the emergency beacon hidden on his belt. It could simply be that Red Hood had observed one of them using it. Or perhaps this newest criminal to Gotham just thought Batman was partial to the billionaire as some rumors suggested.
Or Red Hood knows Bruce Wayne’s secret.

The mistletoe seems to have a mind of its own, flitting around the event. Clint had gaped in wonder and called it a ‘stitch’ or something, mumbling “One hundred points to Hufflepuff” before slipping away. That was about the time the archer’s bow appeared. The green sprig would seemingly pick someone at random and hover above them. The person below it would then be frozen in place until freed by a kiss – either a chaste peck on the cheek or hands, or sweetly intimate like Tony and Pepper’s. The guests have either been keeping a wide berth or trying to catch it.

Summary
The Soldier’s understanding of the world begins to unravel after he completes a mission and finds a helpless and shivering kitten. Unable to leave, knowing the frail thing will die in the elements, the Soldier makes a choice...
Overwhelmed and now hiding from his handler's, things only get more complicated when he lays eyes on a picture of a familiar blonde face..
The Soldier can not risk contact, capture, and the inevitable return to Hydra and captivity would bring. He may remember Steve Rogers, but he also remembers Captain America. Similarly enhanced, the Captain would have the advantage, the Soldier’s movement would be limited with the kitten’s safety to consider.
He’ll seek out Steve Rogers, who seems to feature in nearly every memory with Bucky, but he’ll be cautious. Can hopefully glean from the exposure more about the time before Bucky – before he – was presumed dead in a war. From before Steve’s Bucky became Hydra’s, time stuttering by till the Soldier was born.

Summary
“Mrs....Mrs. Rogers...he looks…” a small voice sobs quietly, and Sarah was at his level immediately, her arms tight around him. Bucky let out another sob, this time muffled by her shoulder. His small body shaking against her as she can tell he tries to hold it in.
They stay like that for a few minutes and some of the tightness leaves Sarah’s chest just a little as the trembling in the small boy calms some. Bucky sniffles and murmurs an apology. Sarah gently pulls back from him and sweeps some hair out of his eyes.
Stevie might be the frail one, but this poor Barnes boy had such a soft heart.

Tim, the ever vigilant (always awake and never giving himself a break) vigilante, gets word of a drug bust going down. One he just so happens to be the only one available to stop. Which happens to be taking place in the very early hours of his birthday. Of course he goes on the highly dangerous bust alone. What could happen?
Or: Tim is used to being the Robin that gets thing handled, that doesn't need Batman to come rescue him. Bruce Wayne had made it very clear in the early days that Tim was not his son. Alfred Pennyworth was cold, allowing only the politeness and distance to show through his Iron Wall. Dick Grayson treated him the way he wished he'd treated his brother, Jason.
Tim was fine with this. He wasn't a child. Even if he wished for more of the small slivers of love the Wayne family were just starting to give him, he wouldn't dare take Jason Todd's place. He just hoped the support he provided for the grieving family would make Jason proud. But Jason Todd came back, and he sure made it known he wasn't. He made sure Tim knew exactly what he thought of the cuckoo in his family.
Now, the Wayne family has their lost son back and Tim has a job to do. Just, not in this dimension?
