With the need to find the Precursor Stone, Torn makes it the Underground's priority to find and negotiate with the Fortune Teller. In trade of cooperation, the Underground must give up Jak as means to an end. However, unknown to them, predestined fate has changed. The set path has been lost and each new outcome almost leads to death. In desperate need to set things right, old enemies make an unlikely alliance but made in very careful steps.

Ashlyn leans back in her chair staring disbelieving at the nicely hand written letter that now lies open on her desk. It was given to her by a Metal Head, Queen-Mother Kora.
Ashlyn doesn't know how many times she reread the letter. Just it being there made Ashlyn nervous with her stomach ready to drop at the confirmation that 'yes, this is real'.
She has to tell Torn first. A lingering thought goes through her head as she reaches for her communicator and makes the first call out of many...

Summary
Part two of The Commander series.
While Erol is trapped inside a medical facility for an entire year, he gets to know the other children and surrounds himself with friends. His Hora-Quan companion teaches him many things and learns how to channel eco. Things gets worse as king Damas gives Baron Praxis full control and Erol fights back against the tyrant's orders along with his newfound family.
To which, he gives in the end in hopes for a better life.

Worth a reread. Starts off serious then mellows out to being a funny, big happy "Luther" Kryptonian-Clone Hybrid family. Ends with their daughter setting off shit bombs all over Kent Farm.
