Summary
Will had changed. Quietly. Gradually. The way things rot from the inside out without anyone noticing at first.
Of course, the world around him had changed too.
He’d started hanging out with people he wasn’t supposed to. Kids who laughed too loud and didn’t ask questions. Lucas was around more often now — partly because he wanted to be, partly because Max had made it very clear that if he abandoned Will, she’d make him regret it.
Will swallowed hard.
The house felt too small.
He slipped out of his room, grabbed the jacket hanging by the door, and stepped into the cold night air. The first inhale burned his lungs as he lit a cigarette, the tip glowing orange in the dark.
He didn’t look back at the house.
Instead, he started walking — hands in his pockets, smoke trailing behind him — toward the place that felt easier these days.
Jason’s house.

Summary
Eleven looked at the name written on the bottle’s tip before blindfolding herself.
Max rolled her eyes. “He’s probably with Lucas and Mike. I don’t think there’s anything to worry about. We don’t have to listen to those idiots.”
Will was riding his bike through the rain, crying. He was going so fast that if the bike slipped, he could’ve broken something. Eleven whispered, “Will is crying.”Max frowned. “What? Where are Lucas and Mike?” she asked. “I don’t know,” Eleven murmured. “He’s going home alone.”Max’s frown deepened. “No, no—he’s not going home. He turned toward the woods,” Eleven said.
Will had gone to Castle Byers. He went inside, crying. He was out of breath.
“Oh…” Eleven said.
Max held herself back from touching her. “What?” she asked anxiously.
“he tore the photo with Lucas, Dustin, and mike,” Eleven whispered, then opened her eyes.
“Get up,” Max said. “We’re going.”*In this story, the Gate is closed—there will be no Vecna. Eleven still has her powers. The Mind Flayer won’t be as powerful, and everything will be resolved before the Russians get involved. This story will focus solely on the Party’s dynamics, especially the friendship between Max, Eleven, and Will.*

Summary
November 6th, 1983 had never been more chaotic. The disappearance of William Byers had cast a shadow over Hawkins that no one could shake. The Byers family’s grief was so consuming that it felt as if the entire town was suffocating under it. Yet, as quickly as the news spread, it was just as quickly forgotten.
People thought it was over when Will’s body was found in the water, when his funeral was held. But no. Hawkins had changed. Strange men in suits, sudden power outages, people vanishing without a trace—something dark had taken root.
But before asking what exactly was happening… Was William Byers really dead? Where was he? William Byers—
BAM.
Pain shot through the creature as it fell to the ground. Will held his gun tightly, his small, trembling body frozen in shock. The monster howled, a sound of anguish that shook the very air. Will tried to catch his breath, the blue, suffocating haze pressing against his lungs.
He could hear the creature’s distant cries echoing around him. Clinging to his weapon, he ran. Anywhere. Anywhere but here.

Summary
Today was March 22.
It was Will Byers’s birthday.Hopper and his mom had left earlier, saying they had things to take care of.
Lucas, Mike, Jane, and Max were out—apparently on a double date.
Jonathan was somewhere with Nancy.
Robin was with her new girlfriend.
Dustin said he and Steve had plans. But Will was sure—absolutely sure—that everyone was planning something for him.
Because his family had never forgotten. Not once.
Because his closest friends had never missed his birthday, not since they were kids.
Even Steve had never forgotten.Hours passed.
Will stayed on the couch, phone resting in his hand, waiting for a message.
Waiting for a call.
Waiting for the front door to burst open, for someone to yell surprise,
or for someone to text him to come outside.Nothing.
Still nothing.
Eventually, Will fell asleep.
His phone never rang.

Summary
Vecna let out a long, exhausted breath.
“Will, if you start running, you’ll wake the Demodogs. William.”Will started running.
Vecna stopped for a second.
Then he looked around—
cracking vines, distant screeches, the very familiar sound of things going wrong.“Of course,” he muttered. “Why wouldn’t you.”
As the Demodogs lunged after Will, Vecna raised his hand.
“No, no— not him. You. All of you. Come here.”The Demodogs hesitated.
One tilted its head.
Another screamed.Vecna sighed and started running after them.
“I swear, I cannot do anything quietly in this place.”*
In this story, Will is 11 years old, and Vecna completely forgets all his evil plans and ends up babysitting him instead. Will is extremely mischievous, and Vecna is just trying to keep him alive in the Upside Down. It’s meant to be funny, but also full of angst—I hope you have fun reading it.
