Kids of Izuku’s age wake up slowly. That’s what he’s heard. They wake to soft light through curtains, to a parent leaning over them with a gentle smile. A kiss pressed to their forehead. A warm hand cupping their cheek. A quiet voice telling them it’s time to get up, that breakfast is ready, that they’ll be late for school if they don’t hurry. They stretch. They complain. They roll over and steal five more minutes under the blankets. Somewhere in the house, plates clink and something warm sizzles in a pan.
That’s what normal mornings are supposed to be. Izuku doesn’t remember the last time he slept without fear.

Eraserhead's eyebrows furrowed, arms crossed over his chest as the Officer flipped through another screenshot, the figures face more visible, but still far too grainy to make out more than curly hair atop a small figure. "I'll take the case. If I find this boy, what will happen?" The Detective rubbed his chin, scratching his stubble slightly, in a way that made Eraserhead want to mimic. "Technically, he has dual citizenship. The Japanese system has just as much claim over him, but there would be an international court case to make the final decision. We'd need to prove he's better off here."
OR: All Izuku had to do while he waited for his Mum to join him was lie low, keep out of sight as his documents were falsified - it wasn't his fault he's a trouble magnet and Heroes are nosy.
