His lips pulled up into a smile. Thoughtfully he ran a hand across a pale hollowed out cheek. A finger idly following the ragged edges of torn skin. Blood trickling anew out of the gash as his nail opened the wound again. What a pity… It had been such a beautiful face. His fingertips smeared the startlingly bright red across the last remnants of clean untouched skin, leaving red fingerprints behind. His lips twitched in further amusement. Maybe not quite such a pity, there was beauty to be found in this as well after all.
