Summary
Have you ever wondered why the protagonist of Legends Z-A ended up in Lumiose City? Why they’re so old and have never had a Pokémon? Or why they were being followed and watched by Zygarde? Me too! So I wrote a short little prequel to give our main character some backstory and motivations that I felt lined up with the story and gave the character some depth.

Summary
A few months after the events of sword and shield, no one has seen hide or hair of the two legendaries, and Hop is settling into his new role as professor's assistant. That is, until Zacian and Zamazenta suddenly appear one day and insist that he become their trainer. To have not one, but two of the legendary heroes of Galar trust him enough to be their trainer is mind-blowing, and Hop vows to be the best he can be for them and the rest of his team. He may have failed before (over, and over, and over-) with some of the challenges in his life, but he swears he'll do everything he can to become the trainer they deserve.
...And he also may have neglected to tell anyone else that this has happened.
