Summary
Drift returns to the shining city of Oakhurst eight years after running from the consequences of a case far too big for her. Getting back on her feet, she begins following a new case: a man called Pyro has gone missing, and it is Drift's job to find him. Between secrets, old friends, and new enemies, she may be in over her head once again. But this time, Drift will not be so easily shaken.
This time, she will bring this whole mystery into the light.
And she might just drag up some old secrets with it.

Summary
The laboratory in the Dark Oak kingdom was an interesting place. There was a door that was completely blocked off, which must have held the majority of the building behind it- Drift would have to go sneak around inside that at a later date. For now, though, she was going to go see if there were any places not off-limits to visitors.
There were quiet metallic sounds coming from down the hallway.
There was another door here, but this one was opened just a crack.

Summary
After their attempt at beginning anew ended in the love their their live trying to murder them Rue flew off away from Cherry Kingdom. She flew until she ran out of rockets and lungs burned and her head was spinning. By that point, fae happened to be over Spruce Kingdom, so that's where fae landed, finding a quiet nook at the base of Spruce Mountain to hide and process everything that just happened.
He was expecting to be left alone. Abandoned and lonely to sort himself out on his lonesome. Ae wasn't expecting to be found by Anathra, and the last thing ae expected was for him to offer comfort and sanctuary when ae needed it most.

"It was definitely tempting, the thought of being able to show the village and the whole internet that she had found a real vampire through her paranormal YouTube channel. Her channel that, admittedly, only had two subscribers; Scott, who just wanted to be supportive, and Avid, who just enjoyed watching what she posted. And not to mention the fact that the comments on every video were just Avid making pointed vampire comments at Scott, and Scott replying with the clown emoji."
Or: Oakhurst is a more modern town and Pyro is found dead with what looks like a bite. Avid convinces Shelby to investigate herself and prove that monsters are real, meanwhile Drift is trying to solve this definitely normal murder case on her own.
Featuring Drift/Shelby falling for each other, Avid getting stuck listening to his roommate and best friend rant about each other, Scott bullying Avid and definitely not being a vampire, and a murder case that you likely already know the culprit(s) of but will hopefully read anyway because everything in between is cool and new :D
I’d also like to add that, while the town is definitely modern now, guns aren’t real. Cause I wanna.The title is from Touch-Tone Telephone by Lemon Demon!
