“Call him, then. And if he answers, and he’s still fine, then maybe we can get some sleep?”
Nodding, Bobby grabs his phone from the nightstand and unplugs the charging cable. He find’s Buck’s number quickly, pressing call without a thought. It’s nearing one in the morning, but it hardly matters. Bobby’s called Buck at worse hours, and Buck’s certainly called him at creative times of the night and early morning
When the call rings, and rings, and then eventually rings out, Bobby turns wide eyed to Athena with a frantic I-told-you-so face.
OR -
Buck's sick. Bobby can't prove it, but he knows it. And what is he supposed to do? Trust Buck to deal with it in a mature, responsible way? Yeah, right.
